The Kids and I were more than a little excited to be invited last week to visit, and try out, Swindon’s newest and highly anticipated attraction – Better Extreme Trampoline Park!
Better Extreme is the brand new trampoline park in Swindon, opening its doors to the public on the 1st February 2016. The 1300 square foot trampoline park has over 100 individual trampolines, with nine fun areas to choose from including dunk hoops and extreme dodge-ball. It is the newest addition to the facilities at the Link Centre, which already boasts an International sized Ice Rink (Home to the fabulous Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Team and Academy), Gym, Swimming Pool, Exercise Classes, Squash Courts and Football Pitches as well as a Library, Creche, Birthday Party Facilities and Coffee Corner.
Better is one of the UK’s leading leisure brands and is owned by GLL, one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit charitable social enterprises. They are dedicated to giving communities access to affordable facilities that improve their health and happiness, and any surplus money that they make goes straight back into the facilities and services that they offer, which is great news for Swindon!
Safety, of course, is paramount at any Trampoline Park. The maximum capacity at Better Extreme is 80 participants, and the simple online booking system allows you to book your one hour session in advance, guaranteeing that you’ll be able to bounce when you attend. All bouncers are required to wear ‘grippy’ trampolining socks, which cost ÂŁ2, and can be taken away and used for return visits. You are also required to watch a simple 3 minute safety video before each session which runs through all the do’s and dont’s of the trampoline park to ensure that everyone’s safety is maintained.
Once we had donned our socks, and watched the informative safety video (which also contained some useful bouncing tips) we started our bouncing session, and wow, what a cool place! If like mine, your kids have an abundance of energy they will love this place! The park is split into a number of areas, each one supervised by a helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly a fun member of staff, which really added to the experience for us.
There are two Dunk Hoop courts (low and high), which proved to be great fun.
An amazing balance beam tournament over a foam pit, which I proved to be the best at!
As well as a slack line tight rope which none of us could do!
An extreme Dodge-ball Court which the kids adored. The park offer a birthday party package, which includes the use of a dedicated party room and a party host. The party host will offer some structured games around the arena such as on the dodge-ball court, which is a great idea if you a bringing a larger group of kids. (both of mine are now planning to have their next parties here!)
A huge main jump arena, with bouncy side walls and islands for all sorts of tricks!
There is even a foam pit with a trampoline base and diving board for the more adventurous bouncers.
We all absolutely loved Better Extreme. There is no doubt that it’s a great way for families of all ages to get some exercise, possibly in the funnest way possible! For the duration of February entry is ÂŁ7.95 for an hours bouncing, which we feel is excellent value. Thank you for inviting us to try out your facilities, we had a fabulous time, and will be returning very soon!
For more fun family days out in the Swindon area, why not check out our visit to the beautiful Lydiard Park and the fabulous Crocodiles of the World.

Wow! This place offers a lot of fun activities. I am sure my kids would love to spend their day here.
It’s great fun, Dawn. Every time we go the kids are exhausted when we get home and ask for early nights – what more can you ask for!
I have never heard of a trampoline park before. That is so cool! I would love to have one for my kids here – especially since I never plan on buying a trampoline personally. :)
They seem to be popping up all over the place here in the UK. It is great fun, and feels a lot safer than the type you buy for the garden (which I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of myself). Thanks for popping by Kathryn :)
Oh my goodness this looks like so much fun! Never mind the kids *I* want a go on this!
(I think I might have to make a special trip to Swindon!)
There’s lots of things to do in Swindon – it really is a growing town :)
It really is fun, we’re going back next week for another go :)
This place looks absolutely fantastic, my teen son would love it. We have a similar place near us, they are so great. Kaz x
It is fab, we’re going back again in half term for another work out!
For that price I would go daily, such a lovely and wonderful trampoline park and not too far from me so might check it out.
We’d recommend it, my kids absolutely loved it :)
I am so impressed by Swindon’s trampoline park they need to bring it over to London too!I like that it is split into areas too!
The same company have one in Barking, so you could check that one out :)
I had heard about this opening in Swindon, we are about 40 minutes away and it looks like it’s worth the trip. I will check out the website for age limits. Thanks
There’s quite a lot to do in that area of Swindon, plus if you fancy some shopping the Swindon Outlet is fab :)
This looks AMAZING, definitely something I want to give a go! and it’s a lot more reasonably priced too which I didn’t expect! I love that there are other options like the basketball hoop and the balance beam!
Yeah I was really impressed with all the different activities – the balance beam and slack line was such a laugh :)
Ha we went to a trampoline park today. It was no way near as good as this one. I love the added activities they have such as the basketball hoop and dodgeball. The balance beam looks great too x
It’s such a great, fun way to get people active, and really great for a family activity – get fed up with sitting in soft play places while the kids run around madly, at least I can join in here!
That looks like so much fun! My children would love that, unfortunately I don’t think they would love the drive to Swindon quite as much.
The balance beam looks aces!!
Leah xx
Hopefully one will pop up near you next – it is great fun :)
This looks amazing and I’d love to do this myself if my body was up to it. Sylvia would love it too. I will look out for something similar in our area or add it to our to do list when we travel. :) Angela x
It was great fun. They seem to be popping up all over the place so hopefully you’ll find one near you :)
That sounds like really good value for money, and I like the idea of them ploughing the profits back into the community.
Thanks for sharing with us, Tracey xx #abitofeverything
I agree its great to have businesses that support the community. Thanks for having us Tracey :)
Oh my that looks fun! My two would love something like that, it’s a shame we’re so far away!

Definitely, and I think it appeals where other forms of exercise may not. It was certainly a workout!
Oh my goodness, this looks like a ridiculous amount of fun! What a brilliant idea, I hope something like this appears near me! #BloggerClubUK
It really is amazing – the kids adored it, and it certainly gives you a good work out. My kids have got a bit big for soft play now (although they don’t think so) but this really works for kids of all ages, and adults too :)
What a cool place! It must be huge with all of those different activities to do. My boys would love going somewhere like this! #abitofeverything x
I was really impressed by the space and all the different areas – I think every child in the area will be having their birthday parties there now :)
